About DropLink IV

Every year, millions of patients receiving IV therapy face two critical yet overlooked risks, incomplete medication delivery and accidental catheter dislodgement. Up to 20% of prescribed medication never reaches the patient, trapped in IV tubing and discarded as waste, contributing to treatment failure and antimicrobial resistance¹. Meanwhile, 1 in 10 IV catheters becomes accidentally dislodged, causing patient injury, medication spills, and forcing nurses to spend valuable time restarting therapy². These persistent challenges drive unnecessary healthcare costs, jeopardise patient safety, and place an overwhelming burden on an already stretched nursing workforce.

DropLink IV was born to solve both problems at once. By uniting Interlinked's ReLink, a clinically validated breakaway connector that reduces catheter dislodgements by 73% ³, with NovaDrop's automated IV flushing technology that guarantees medication delivery, DropLink IV offers hospitals a single, universal solution compatible with all IV systems.

The result is safer patients, empowered nurses, reduced medical waste, and significant cost savings, setting a new global standard in intravenous care.

A safer, more effective IV therapy

NovaDrop

NovaDrop Flush Device is a prefilled, single-use IV-line flush device containing 0.9% sodium chloride solution. It connects between the IV liquid container and the administration set, using hydrostatic pressure and fluid dynamics to flush the IV line automatically once the primary infusion completes. NovaDrop is compatible with both gravity-driven and pump-driven infusion systems, so it fits directly into existing IV equipment.

ReLink IV

ReLink IV features a self-sealable, double-valve system that reduce spillage of medicine and fluids. Unlike other breakaway connectors, both ReLink IV valves are of a split-septum design, allowing for disinfection and reconnection. With ReLink IV, there is no device replacement needed before therapy restart, meaning that there is no need to open the system. A closed system keeps the patient safe from air and contaminants and the nurse safe from exposure risks.⁴
